Who doesn’t adore a baby? Infants are our little bundles of joy whose innocent smiles never fail to bring sunshine to our cloudy days. As parents, we only want the best for our babies in their very young age. We want to be able to provide for their basic needs - food, shelter, and clothing, aside from an infant’s most vital needs of love and attention. Of course, the latest innovations in baby’s merchandise have allowed for more fun and comfort, both for parents and the infants alike. 

Clothing is one primary concern of parents for their newborn. Designs of baby clothing have evolved from the traditional plain pastels we have been used to seeing. Latest trends have shown hippy and rock baby clothes are flooding specialty shops. It is best to prepare clothing for the next six months as a mother’s hands are already more than full during that period in taking care for the newborn. These set of clothes consists of the basic necessities and some extra that would meet baby’s needs. 

One important set of clothes that parents should prepare for are clothes for everyday wear. These should be made of soft, cottony and durable material that is comfortable for babies to move in. Costing a little bit more than ordinary material, its smooth material don’t irritate baby’s skin which is very sensitive. Everyday clothes must also be a little bigger than the of the infant’s current size as they can grow really fast during this stage. 

Clothing apparel that mothers shouldn’t be caught without are onesies otherwise known as one-piece outfits. These are very convenient as you can easily fit in fussy babies, snap them up and you’re ready to go. Babies often keep moving their arms and legs even while dressing them up so onesies makes mommy’s life so much easier. Onesies also are a great advantage for diaper changes that are a common occurrence with babies because it makes the process a lot simpler by just opening the snaps and behold, the diaper is there for easy changing and snap them close when you’re done. There is no more need to remove the whole bottom from a squirming infant. Just make sure that the snaps hold, otherwise, it could become irritating to keep resnapping them. A black onesie, meanwhile, makes a good outfit as it doesn’t easily show stains from drool and spits.

When shopping for babies clothes, we always have to keep some things in mind. Babies easily get irritated when tight things are pulled over their head so preferably, shirts should have shoulder snaps for easy access or have a wide opening. 

These are just some basic clothing that are must-haves for mothers. There are a lot more extras that parents may opt to buy to assure of enough stock of clothes for the next few months. It would also be best to start shopping a few months into the pregnancy so the parents can take their time in choosing the best and scour stores for the most affordable outfits.
